Scale Selected for the BlackBerry “Super Apps” Developer Challenge

September 27th, 2010

We received the good news today that Scale was selected into the first round of the BlackBerry “Supper Apps” Developer Challenge.  Over the course of the next month, we’ll see what happens with the subsequent rounds of judging!

We’ll keep you updated!

Partnering with Krossover Intelligence

June 8th, 2010

So just because it’s been quiet doesn’t mean a lot hasn’t been happening!  The past two months have seen a very pointed focus on improving Scale’s distribution channels.  Look for some interesting announcements in the coming weeks and months.

One of these I am VERY excited to be able to preview though, is the fact that Socialibrium was selected to provide Scale as Krossover Intelligence’s relationship management platform.  Scale will be white-labeled as part of the Krossover ground-breaking sports intelligence tool and integrated into their web platform.

Krossover Krossover

We will be working with Krossover this summer to refine the product and finally begin to link our mobile offering with a web application.

NJTC Venture Conference

March 26th, 2010

So today we exhibited and presented at the New Jersey Technology Council’s (NJTC) Venture Conference.  It was a very well run event for early stage companies seeking funding.  While we’re not actively seeking funding, the attendees slotted in well with our target user base, and I was viewing it as an opportunity to start building the network of NJ and PA VC’s.

I met some great folks at the event, and was also impressed with the other companies exhibiting.

There is a competitive element to the event, of which I wasn’t initially aware, and I’m very proud to announce that Socialbrium won the award for “Most Capital Efficient Company”.

Given my involvement with Ultralight Startups, and the effort boot-strapping the company to date has taken, this was especially meaningful.

A video of my presentation is below:

One Month In…

February 16th, 2010

So it has been nearly a month since our official launch.  In that time our user base has exploded and we’ve begun working with a handful of companies to install mid-sized, enterprise pilot programs.  The feedback we’ve gleaned so far from these has been tremendous, and is currently being incorporated into Scale.

Look for a new release in the next two weeks with some exciting updates!

Announcing…. Scale!

January 19th, 2010

So we are incredibly excited to announce the official launch of Scale, our Blackberry client.  A huge thank you (again) to our alpha and beta testers.  Your input and feedback has been incredible.

You can check out the free trial version in BlackBerry’s Appworld here.

You can also have a look at our official press release here.

While this is a huge milestone in one sense, it is really just “business-as-usual” at Socialibrium.  We are continuing to plan updates and additional features and functions, and have started the early-stage planning for a web-based version of our tools.  However, for the time being at least, it is nice to celebrate!

Speaking on a Panel Tomorrow

January 13th, 2010

So I’m headed to Boston tomorrow to speak on the panel of Ultralight Startups: Boston’s monthly entrepreneurs’ forum.  The topic is “Essential Productivity Apps for Startups”.  I’m excited to have been included and looking forward to not only sharing my experiences building Socialibrium thus far, but also talking about how Scale has made me more productive.

If you’re in Boston, stop by.  I promise it will be an interesting discussion!

I’ll post a recap tomorrow evening!

Scale Development is Completed

December 29th, 2009

Great news - development on Scale is now done!  Beta testing is completed and we’re planning to have a formal launch in mid-January.  We’re currently in a “soft-launch” mode; ensuring distribution of the production app is smooth and seamless!

The free trial-version of Scale is currently with Blackberry’s AppWorld for approval, so in addition to being available on our site, anyone interested will have an even more direct way of finding, downloading, and installing Scale!

Thank you again to our beta testers.  Scale would not be the application it is today without you!

So hopefully everyone has enjoyed a festive holiday season.  Look for Scale’s formal launch in 2010!

Did we meet at InterOp??

November 18th, 2009

If we chatted at InterOp today and you’re interested in trying Scale, you can register here.

We are finishing off our beta testing and making some final modifications to the user interface.  That means the production release should be ready in the next two to three weeks!

At that point we will offer a free 30-day trial of Scale.  To be one of the first to get it, all you have to do is register!  Thanks for the interest :-)

At InterOp this week

November 17th, 2009

So with development on Scale almost done, it’s time to start getting the word out….
My developers at Bianor were good enough to share part of their booth at the InterOp Expo with me. We’ll be there tomorrow (Wed, 18 Nov) and Thursday (19 Nov).  If you’re at either the Web 2.0 Expo or InterOp, come say hello!  And if you’re interested in trying Scale, you can register here!

Scale Alpha Closing

October 12th, 2009

The past few weeks have seen a lot of changes in Scale. It went from being a semi-functional, somewhat buggy app, to something now nearing its final stages. The UI and menu structure still needs to be refined, but the underlying functionality is wrapping up.

If you would like to be part of the beta testing, please email with the subject “Scale Beta”.

Thank you!
