Announcing…. Scale!

January 19th, 2010

So we are incredibly excited to announce the official launch of Scale, our Blackberry client.  A huge thank you (again) to our alpha and beta testers.  Your input and feedback has been incredible.

You can check out the free trial version in BlackBerry’s Appworld here.

You can also have a look at our official press release here.

While this is a huge milestone in one sense, it is really just “business-as-usual” at Socialibrium.  We are continuing to plan updates and additional features and functions, and have started the early-stage planning for a web-based version of our tools.  However, for the time being at least, it is nice to celebrate!

Speaking on a Panel Tomorrow

January 13th, 2010

So I’m headed to Boston tomorrow to speak on the panel of Ultralight Startups: Boston’s monthly entrepreneurs’ forum.  The topic is “Essential Productivity Apps for Startups”.  I’m excited to have been included and looking forward to not only sharing my experiences building Socialibrium thus far, but also talking about how Scale has made me more productive.

If you’re in Boston, stop by.  I promise it will be an interesting discussion!

I’ll post a recap tomorrow evening!

-Ray

Scale Development is Completed

December 29th, 2009

Great news - development on Scale is now done!  Beta testing is completed and we’re planning to have a formal launch in mid-January.  We’re currently in a “soft-launch” mode; ensuring distribution of the production app is smooth and seamless!

The free trial-version of Scale is currently with Blackberry’s AppWorld for approval, so in addition to being available on our site, anyone interested will have an even more direct way of finding, downloading, and installing Scale!

Thank you again to our beta testers.  Scale would not be the application it is today without you!

So hopefully everyone has enjoyed a festive holiday season.  Look for Scale’s formal launch in 2010!

Did we meet at InterOp??

November 18th, 2009

If we chatted at InterOp today and you’re interested in trying Scale, you can register here.

We are finishing off our beta testing and making some final modifications to the user interface.  That means the production release should be ready in the next two to three weeks!

At that point we will offer a free 30-day trial of Scale.  To be one of the first to get it, all you have to do is register!  Thanks for the interest :-)

At InterOp this week

November 17th, 2009

So with development on Scale almost done, it’s time to start getting the word out….
My developers at Bianor were good enough to share part of their booth at the InterOp Expo with me. We’ll be there tomorrow (Wed, 18 Nov) and Thursday (19 Nov).  If you’re at either the Web 2.0 Expo or InterOp, come say hello!  And if you’re interested in trying Scale, you can register here!

Scale Alpha Closing

October 12th, 2009

The past few weeks have seen a lot of changes in Scale. It went from being a semi-functional, somewhat buggy app, to something now nearing its final stages. The UI and menu structure still needs to be refined, but the underlying functionality is wrapping up.

If you would like to be part of the beta testing, please email enquiries@socialibrium.com with the subject “Scale Beta”.

Thank you!

Scale is live!

September 20th, 2009

So I have been testing a live version of Scale (our Blackberry client) for the past few weeks and am really excited about it.  There are a few more tweaks required before we start opening the beta testing to a larger audience.

For those of you who have expressed an interest in trying it out, I will email you with details.  For this of you who have yet to register an interest, either email enquires@socialibrium.com or keep an eye on this site.  We are launching a new version in a week or two that will allow you to register for the beta round.

Here’s to progress….

Moderating a Panel Tonight….

September 3rd, 2009

And now, a brief break from product development :-)

I’m really excited to be moderating the panel at tonight’s Ultralight Start-up’s Entrepreneur’s Forum about SaaS companies.  This topic is near and dear to me, as we weigh up taking Socialibrium from a mobile-only app into a hosted, multi-platform SaaS product.

The panel will cover challenges and advice for launching a SaaS company, managing your initial client base, and then scaling.

Peter Stern from Zenbe, Steve Greenwood from Drop.io, Jed Alpert from Mobile Commons, and Steve Asherman from  Base One International will all be on the panel.  If you haven’t registered to attend, you really should!  Click here.

Radio Silence Broken :-)

July 27th, 2009

So it has been FAR too long since our last update…. but with good reason!  Scale (our Blackberry client) is currently under development, and we should be entering our alpha release cycle in the next few weeks.  I am eager to get my hands on the first build, and start testing the new features and functions that will be included.  This version will really, really impress.

We appreciate all the interest registered to date, and look forward to hearing your thoughts on Scale!  Stay tuned….
